It's in the
small things we find joy,
the first cup
of coffee
in the morning that fires up
our nervous system.
The purring
cat sat on our knee,
as we stroke
her soft fur.
Cooing loving words to soothe
her zen-like spirit.
That perfect
book that transports us
to a world
away from
the real life cares that make us
suffer pain not joy.
The music
that sings to our soul
each note fills
us with hope.
The adagio, tranquil
symphony that calms.
The inner
wisdom that comes when
we learn the
life lessons
that are presented until
we know our own truth.
Life is full
of small things, moments
in time and
space that will
become the warp and weft of
of our life fabric.
Memories
we will recall in a
different
way than they
actually happened, through
the lens of today.
