Theo arrives in Golden, a stranger with no apparent purpose. Allen Levi reveals his story step by step, enticing us from chapter to chapter with each golden nugget of information.
It is a well plotted story with a lot of humanity within its pages. Theo is a wonderfully drawn character who you will immediately warm to.
As we are led through Theo's story by his interactions with the good citizens of Golden, the author reveals just enough of Theo to keep us turning the pages.
All the characters are well drawn, and some of the places are characters in themselves like the Chalice coffee shop and the wonderfully named 'Verbivore' bookstore.
This story tackles big subjects and reveals Theo's story with true humanity. This story will stay with you long after you have read the book.
