Wordle761 Words:
Still, potatoes, neck, runner, drifting, pinch, glassy, prickled, road, fright, shifted, twisted,
A COUNTRY MORNING
The hedgehog prickled across the road
Gave a young squirrel a fright as he
Inspected it and ran away up a tree.
The blackbird twisted the worm out
Of the ground to eat the juicy morsel.
The runner tracked the road as he did
Every morning, seven days a week.
The road was glassy looking after a
Night full of rain; frogs could be heard
In the nearby pond, as the morning sun
Shifted and became dappled between
The trees and branches. Drifting on the
Gentle breeze, a woman's song came.
She pulled up potatoes from her garden.
A pinch or two of flat leaf parsley for
Garnish and some gleaming orange
Carrots and creamy coloured parsnips.
She paused, still for a moment, she
Rubbed her stiff neck and sighed.
