The Purring Cure

In the evening's hush, a vibrating sound,
A tremble low, its frequency with healing abounds
No words are spoken, no spells are cast,
Yet peace arrives, calm and serene at last.

Heartbeats wrapped in skin and fur
They enter your home, your lonely lair.
Their purring—a balm, a lullaby,
That hums beneath the soul’s reply.

It stitches grief with golden thread,
Revive the dreams you thought were dead.
A rhythm born of breath and bone,
That tells you that you are not alone.

So let them heal the body and the mind.
A song that soothes the pain, a vibration to bind.
For in that thrum, so soft, so sure,
Lies nature’s own, the purring  cure.
