Old age is not for the faint of heart,
It needs a truly stoical turn of mind.
You can't avoid its treacherous dart.
It means arthritic pain off the chart.
With headaches to make you blind.

Everyone has advice they will impart,
Internet devices that are not kind,
You can't avoid its treacherous dart.
You always think you can outsmart
It, but it will put you in its bind.

You may incline to seek out black art,
That could take you out of your mind.

The alternative is not one to chart,
We have to put up with the daily grind.
