In book 2 of the Medieval Mystery Series, Tyrant of the Mind by Priscilla Royal takes her heroine, Eleanor of Wynethorpe, Prioress of Tyndal back to her family home.

In the company of Sister Anne, her sub-infirmarian and Brother Thomas, they arrive home on the Welsh borders to care for her gravely ill nephew.

There, they encounter accident, murder, stabbing, and all manner of heinous deeds, which demands the trio's various skills to resolve.

Along the way, Eleanor finds peace in her father's company and helps her brother while Sister Anne nurses Richard, the young nephew, back to health.

The author's due diligence in her meticulous research into the Medieval world of 1271, her storytelling skills, and her understanding of the roles of the sexes at this time make for a spell binding story. I am looking forward to book 3!
