The longest living butterfly
is the Brimstone, without a lie.
That pale yellow-green
like sulphur is seen.
Females fly
while males preen.
It's twelve months before they will die,
among the flowers they defy
their shorter lived peers.
Silent so no one hears,
spirits' sighs
or their tears.
