Where have all the little birds gone?
The big ones remain with their brawn.
Pigeons, Crows, Magpies, come at dawn
Even Ravens and Seagulls are drawn
To our open spaces, but in days bygone
The sparrows and blue tits on the lawn,
Were a delight to behold now a foregone
Conclusion, where have they gone?
Wrens, robins, finches green and gold,
Singing in the trees, it never grew old.
Now it's caw-caw, those covids so bold.
Murder of crows from a raucous mould.
A tiding of magpies–the thieves paroled.
An unkindness of ravens never cajoled.
A loft of pigeons leave their stronghold.
A squabble of gulls, never controlled.
