I particularly like Damien Boyd's no-nonsense style of crime writing in this As the Crow Flies (DI Nick Dixon Crime Book 1).

I liked the DI's character and his dog, Monty was a nice touch. There were a lot of climbing terms in this book, which I was unfamiliar with, but it didn't detract from the well plotted crime story.

I look forward to reading more in the series.
