At the midterm election – a blue wave
Swept to victory in house and senate.
Like a great democratic shockwave.
At the midterm election – a blue wave,
Left Trump babbling and not so brave.
His broken promises, they all hate.
At the midterm election – a blue wave
Swept to victory in house and senate.

The megalomaniac reduced to talking
About the ballroom and reflecting pool,
Like a demented big bird squawking.
The megalomaniac reduced to talking
In lies and broken promises, gawking
At the cameras, grinning like a fool.
The megalomaniac reduced to talking
About the ballroom and reflecting pool.

Now a lame duck president with a veto,
Which he will use, there is no doubt.
Let's hope the Democrats will show
Now a lame duck president with a veto,
That he has nowhere to hide or to go.
In two long years he will finally be out.
Now a lame duck president with a veto,
Which he will use, there is no doubt.

At last the ordinary people have spoken.
While red states turned blue overnight.
Now America can fix what is broken,
At last the ordinary people have spoken.
They want peace and oil flow unbroken.
And tax dollars spent on what is right.
At last the ordinary people have spoken.
While red states turned blue overnight.
